What is the distribution strategy for BizGuardian?
In order to expand our presence globally we are now in the process of recruiting a network of channel partners located throughout North America, Europe and the Pacific Rim, supporting specific markets and end-user customers

Why did FSS introduce the Partner Program?
FSS recognizes that our continued success and growth depends on our ability to develop quality relationships with specialized business partners around the world who can provide the complete and well-integrated solutions that customers often require on a localized level. The product often represents a small part of the solution. We will concentrate on delivering world-class software while you concentrate on providing value-add to your customers.

What is FSS’s partner strategy?

We aim to develop close business alliances with a select group of quality partners. We are interested in partnering with individuals and organisations around the world including:

  • Web Partners – to promote BizGuardian alongside complementary products and services.
  • Authorised Partners: Consultants, VAR’s and Systems Integrators provide BizGuardian as part of an SME solution.
  • OEM/Hardware partners:
    • Create an integrated Internet security appliance for your SME customers
    • Managed service providers/ XSP create value-added security service revenues.
    • ISV - Software Publisher – Offer your customers a secure solution by distributing BizGuardian VPN Firewall alongside your own distributed vertical market application.

What is the difference between a Web Partner and an Authorised Partner?

Web Partners simply promote BizGuardian on their web site in return for a commission on all orders received. The Program is free to join and risk-free.

Authorised Partners actively promote BizGuardian solutions and have a technical appreciation of the product. They earn higher margins based on volume, and benefit from closer sales and marketing support.

How do you prevent channel conflict?
Orders are entered by each partner utilising a unique ID code. If an order originates from your web site then the customer will need to input your ID in order to benefit from a Partner only discount. For larger or longer-term opportunities FSS has addressed the possibility of channel conflict by creating a lead registration program. A partner protects a potential sale by registering the opportunity via the Partner section of the web site outlining the customer name, location and order information. We will not contact your customer directly without your approval.

What types of technical support and resources are available to me as a Partner?

BizGuardian is a simple product to install and maintain. We are confident that you will be able to deal with the majority of customer issues utilising the faq section of the web site and online documentation. However, should you require assistance you may use the "Contact Support" link within the BizGuardian Administrator Help Page. This provides a fast link to our support group and the option to include configuration files that enable our staff to quickly diagnose any configuration problems you may have. You also have unlimited access to support email. We strive to respond to your technical questions within 1 business day. In exceptional circumstances where this is insufficient to resolve the problem, then the call will be escalated up to direct telephone contact or customer visit as determined necessary by technical support personnel. Technical support is provided in English.

On-Line Assistance:
Remote configuration and troubleshooting assistance is available for critical customer support situations.

What technical skills do I need?
BizGuardian removes the complexity from installing a superior Firewall and VPN solution. You will need to have good understanding of what these solutions can do for your customers and how they fit within the general networking environment overall. You will not need to have knowledge of any particular operating system, its command line interface or underlying components such as Unix, iptables, or ipchains. If you do not know what these things are, do not worry as with BizGuardian you do not need to know!

How do I demo BizGuardian to a customer?
Easy you have two options. Firstly you can create your own appliance by simply installing the BizGuardian Demo onto a PC. Install this for your customer on-site.

Alternatively, if your customer has sufficient technical savvy then they can create the appliance themselves.

If you want to ensure that any resulting order recognises your efforts then simply register the opportunity with us via the partner section of the web site. We will need the customer information and the MAC address of the PC. This information will be treated in the strictest confidence.

We will not contact your customer without your permission.

You have an e-commerce facility. How will this affect my margin?

It won’t! As an Authorised Partner we will track and cross-reference all orders received from you and pay commissions accordingly. Payment will be made to the Partner at the end of the month following the month in which payment is received.

How do I get paid?
All commissions are paid automatically at the end of the month following receipt of order. This can be done by direct bank transfer, or PayPal. The recipient bears any transaction costs, which will be simply deducted from the overall payment.
What will it cost me any money?
We are not interested in making money from you. We want a partnership.
For Authorised BizGuardian Partner status we require a initial purchase of a 10-user BizGuardian Firewall VPN license, currently just $375USD list. We will supply you with an additional 10 User VPN Firewall License Free Of Charge. (Not for Resale). This can be used for product familiarisation and training purposes, or can be put to use in your own Virtual Private Network.
How Do I Become A Partner?
